“EDUCATION, as the saying goes, can bring a change in someone’s future.“

Learning is a journey, resulting someone’s dream turn into reality. It does not need to be confining but expanding.

Jean Piaget, the father of child psychology, once said that the goal of education is not to increase the amount of knowledge but to create the possibilities for a child to invent and discover, to create men who are capable of doing new things.

This is one of the underlying principles upheld by MIS (Manado Independent School).

As a foreign teacher, I have observed that the curricula utilized in our school not only hone the cognitive aspects of the students but also develop lifelong learners.

MIS offers a wide range of activities that stimulates students to explore beyond the confines of the classroom.

This helps the students to discover new skills or talents that lead to further personal development and greater self-esteem.

Another program of MIS that empowers the students to be “future-ready” is the English Campaign.

This encourages the students to express their thoughts in English.

As we all know, to be globally competitive, one must be globally competent.

We can never deny the fact that English is the global language and it is indeed an edge for someone who knows how to speak this language fluently.
