Joaquin Phoenix Aktor Terbaik Oscar 2020

TRIBUNMANADO.CO.ID, WASHINGTON – Joaquin Phoenix dinobatkan sebagai Best Actor atau Aktor Terbaik dalam perhelatan Academy Awards 2020 atau Oscar. Perhelatan tersebut digelar di Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat yang digelar Minggu (9/2/2020) pukul 20.00 waktu setempat.

Joaquin berhasil meraih Oscar setelah mengalahkan para aktor lain yang ada di nominasi tersebut. Mereka adalah Antonio Banderas (Pain and Glory), Leonardo DiCaprio (Once Upon a Time ..in Hollywood), Adam Driver (Marriage Story), dan Jonathan Pryce (The Two Popes).

"Begitu banyak orang di ruangan ini memberikan saya kesempatan kedua dan di situlah kita berada di titik terbaik," kata Joaquin saat menerima penghargaan di Dolby Theatre waktu setempat.

"Bukan di saat kita membatalkan satu sama lain karena kesalahan di masa lalu," sambung dia. Joaquin menutup pidatonya dengan mengucapkan kutipan saudaranya, River Phoenix.

"Berjalanlah untuk menolong dengan cinta dan kedamaian akan mengikuti," kata Joaquin. Sebelumnya, Joker juga meraih penghargaan setelah komposer musik Hildur Guðnadóttir berhasil meraih penghargaan untuk kategori Best Original Score.

Gudnadottir berhasil membawa pulang Oscar 2020 setelah berhasil menghalahkan Thomas Newman (1917), Randy Newman (Marriage Story), Alexandre Desplat (Little Women) dan John Williams (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker). (tribun/kps)
