An Experience Like No Other

I HAVE always been told that the most memorable years in our life are our teenage years, especially high school years.

Having studied in Manado Independent School throughout my teenage years gave me many special moments and wonderful opportunities.

Majority of the staff are down to earth and easy to communicate with. My relationship with teachers have brought me close to a positive friendship” status with them.

Their diversity adds color to my learning experience. They are unforgettable.

Those students I call my friends are very supportive in whatever I do. School projects involving group work has helped me forge a special bond with my groupmates.

I have gained special friends throughout my stay in this school. Even if some of them have transferred to another place, we always take a chance to meet and relive our friendship.

MIS has also provided activities and opportunities that will always linger and leave a smile.

I had been part of the Student Association which brought me to places and molded my sense of responsibility in many ways.

I am likewise blessed to be part of a kolintang group which brought us not only to various places around our province, but to places abroad, especially to the United States.

I never expected that by knowing how to play the kolintang would give me an international experience.

Being involved in academic events or competitions is even better since MIS would not hesitate to provide whatever it can to help us achieve more.

When I participated in a debate competition, MIS provided everything from extra classes to transportation and meals alongside administrators and teachers who stayed with us until the end.

Those are just some of the experiences I had which aren’t even included in the school’s programs.

MIS has many programs including camping outdoors, MIS Cup, community service and many more for us to experience. Thank you MIS for these opportunities!
